Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Your privacy and archival data belong to you. We built PinRip on a clear principle: we never sell your personal data, we never run third-party advertisements, and we never delete your saved library if you downgrade. This policy explains what information we collect and how we safeguard it.

01 Privacy at a glance

Zero AdvertisementsWe do not display third-party ads or sell behavioral tracking data to brokers.
No Third-Party CredentialsWe never ask for or store your Pinterest or social media passwords.
Full Data PortabilityExport your entire library anytime as standard ZIP, PDF, CSV, JSON, or HTML.

02 Information we collect

  • Account & Waitlist Information: Your name, email address, role, and subscription tier.
  • Bookmarked URLs: Public board and media links you submit for archiving.
  • Workspace Customizations: Personal notes, tags, and section structures you organize within your library.
  • Billing Metadata: Managed securely through PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant processors (Stripe / Razorpay). We never see or store raw card numbers.

03 How we use your information

We use your information solely to:

  • Deliver the PinRip service (fetching metadata, preserving sections, generating PDF moodboards, and preparing ZIP exports).
  • Send critical account notices, early access invites, and billing receipts.
  • Respond to your technical support inquiries.

04 Zero user file uploads & client-side extension

PinRip does not provide user-generated file hosting or arbitrary file uploading. All collection archiving is performed by fetching publicly available origin media directly from links provided by you. When you use our Chrome or Firefox browser extension to back up private boards, the extension communicates directly with your browser session locally on your machine—your authentication session never leaves your computer.

05 Storage and security

All archived metadata and collection assets are stored using encrypted cloud infrastructure with TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Access to backend systems is restricted via least-privilege principles.

06 Third-party processors

We work with trusted infrastructure and payment partners:

  • Stripe & Razorpay: Payment processing and billing portal management.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Encrypted hosting and content delivery.

We never share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

07 Your rights & data export

Under GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy standards, you have the right to access, export, or delete all personal data associated with your account. You can download your collections anytime via our built-in CSV, JSON, HTML, and ZIP export tools, or request complete account erasure by contacting us.
